Russelia equisetiformis, Firecracker Plant Coral Plant is deciduous, branching subshrub with rush-like, erect and pendent, mid-green stems. The elliptic, scale-like, mid-green leaves, to 1.5cm long, fall early. Tubular scarlet flowers, to 3cm long, are borne in pendent cymes from spring to autumn.
